It’s no secret that we’re big fans of the NBA here at Gowalla. Today we’re pleased to announce a partnership with the New Jersey Nets to celebrate their final home game to be played at IZOD Center against the Charlotte Bobcats on April 12.

The New Jersey Nets are giving away 500 tickets to the game, in pairs, to those who check in with Gowalla around and find Nets Tickets item. The iconic tickets will be scattered at sports bars, pubs, sporting goods stores and other venues around New Jersey and New York City where you might go to watch a basketball game this weekend. A team from Gowalla will be on hand at IZOD Center the evening of the game and an email will be sent to those who find the tickets with redemption instructions.

The New Jersey Nets will also be giving away a number of Nets jerseys (some of them signed!) to selected fans who check in at the April 12 game. This is a remarkable opportunity to rally fans to the final home game of the season for one of the NBA’s most storied franchises. Gowalla is thrilled to play a part.
